Eirid, in Proper Warlock Attire

I don’t know what the deal is with putting warlocks in skull/bone motifs, but I think only affliction warlocks really seem that type. Instead, I put some pieces from various sets together. I think she comes across as “misunderstood” pretty well.

Muirri Makes Seven

Muirri reached level 100 last night, making an amusing Disney reference. While I find Monking easier than Death Knighting, it’s still far less interesting to me than other classes. Of the classes I have at max level, I like Paladin, Hunter and Priest most enjoyable.

Since Muirri is now level 100, it’s time to show off her mog.  Unlike most of the others, hers is very subdued.

Sruith’s Mog

It’s been busy couple of days for Sruith: She has dinged 100, acquired the last two pieces of her mog, and acquired a snow fox kit. I think she has had an astounding week, and now gets to relax until she has to go hunting for an artifact weapon.

The mog, you may recall, was designed by Cymre, but I had to adjust it because I didn’t acquire some pieces before they weren’t available.

Sveala Reaches 100

Just Dinged 100, and placed an artifact in her garrison already...

I suppose the title is a big give away.  The most beautiful Dwarf Shaman (not The Most Beautiful Shaman) has made it to 100. It was one of those anti-climactic dings, too. I was going to take out Tall Buck, and arrived in the small glade he calls home. Discovering this corner of Nagrand was what it took to finish off the level.  I always find it great irony when this happens to me.

Anyway, I’ve also been working on putting together a complete set of Mogs for my ladies once they reach the leveling goal.  In each case, I’m trying to capture the essence of their class (and often spec) while still having an interesting mog that doesn’t make use of too much of a given set.

For Sveala, I wanted the essence of Fire and Earth, the elements she has the most affinity with.  The shoulders also hearken to her roots, a daughter of both Ironforge and of the Highlands, she lived with her cousins and learned the ways of the shaman in the shadow of a very real orcish threat.   The gnarled staff of petrified wood is a testament to her will over rock and earth.

Grianna, a mage with a mog

One of the things I’ve noticed about myself is that I don’t quite get completely invested in my characters until they have a mog to wear, or to work on. Saoire had her mog somewhere in the 30s or 40s, when I got an awesome drop, the Bard’s Boots.

But Grianna, well, a frost mage whose name is Celtic for Sun certainly has an interesting juxtaposition going on. But, being a Drunken Fish mean’s that our Jefa has a keen eye for exquisite mog pieces.   There were two pretty light blue dresses in the guild bank, so I asked if I could have one.   I wasn’t sure where I was going to go with it, but the results are… maybe my best mog yet. (Didn’t I just say that about a certain paladin’s mog?)

I’m beginning to think one of the reasons everyone mogs cloth so much is that you don’t have to figure out pants, and there are just so many cool staves out there.  In this case, I also got to cheat with the gloves (they clash horribly, being purple and gold) because you can only see the gold edging under the sleeves of this dress. Perfect!  Likewise, the boots aren’t an ideal fit, but the dark bluish-black color that shows just works with this outfit.

New Paladin Mog

Gurdrid will be working on getting a new mog. All her previous ones have been assuming she would be protection, and therefore using a 1-hander/shield combo. I did find good weapons to go with two of her old mogs, but then I got this axe from salvage, and knew I had to do something with it.

To be completely honest, I think this is one of the best mogs I’ve done yet. Though I am still quite proud of my flagbearer from the Mogolympics.

Upon returning to that old post, I realized I had designed it to also use a gun, so Breige might actually get to wear that mog someday after all!

Mounts, Mogs, and Months Past

Not necessarily in that order.

I got a whole 7 days or so of September’s screenshot a day thing done. I’m not even going to attempt October or November because, well, wedding. According to Matty, it will be our 155,098th wedding.  Really, it’s more the celebration of our wedding in August of 2013.  I’m not going to try and catch up, but I will probably try to do future months, when the spirit moves me.

In the meantime, though, Breige joined a heroic team on their weekly Garrosh farm kill earlier this month, and acquired the title and the pony wolf.

And of course, there is the mog. Saoire is now completely ready for Warlords, even if she might be unprepared. She looks awesome, and has been causing trouble around Ironforge. She might have to slip back to Stormwind unnoticed one of these days…

This mog is comprised of several quest items and a few dungeon drops. It could have been put together as early as level 60, but I ended up waiting until 90 anyway.  The shoulders and boots were the start of the outfit, but the gloves were just so perfect I couldn’t help myself.   I’m also particularly happy with the similar but different daggers.

BTW, I’m noticing I have a thing for red.  At least Gurdrid’s current prot mog is green.
